Ina-Garten

Ina Garten has been a popular American writer of cook books for a number of decades. Ina is also the Emmy-winning host of Food Networks longest running show Barefoot Contessa and began its run in 2002. Ina began her career working at the White House, writing the nuclear energy budget as well as policy reports. While she initially found the work intellectually stimulating and exciting, she soon became bored with it. Barefoot Contessa was then bought. After nearly 18 years of making the store a huge success, she decided to sell it and started creating her first novel. Other cookbooks followed, as were magazine articles. Her Food Network television program also was launched and soon became a hit. In addition, she sells all kinds of cooking equipment, supplies and containers. Ina did not go to a cooking institute and hasn't worked in restaurants. Ina is completely self-taught. She's known for her easygoing style of cooking and entertaining. Her best-known recipes include Skillet Lemon Chicken roasted by Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac & cheese Beef Bourguignon. Balsamic-roasted Brussels Sprouts, Lemon Bars and Mac and Cheese.
