David Muir (born August 25, 1949) is a famous American journalist anchor, reporter and anchor. Most well-known is for World News Tonight. His show with its dramatic videos, celebrity news as well as his animated movements is now the most watched newscast in America. Made In America is his Emmy award-winning show. Prior to his appointment as anchor of ABC World News Tonight he was the primary substitute anchor for his predecessor Diane Sawyer. Many of his evening ABC News specials include Breaking Point - Heroin in America as well as Flashpoint - Refugees and refugees in America. The reporter has covered stories from all over the globe, including Gaza Egypt Iran Somalia Japan Peru Ukraine Haiti. He has been awarded many Emmy Awards, Edward R. Murrow Award and numerous honors from Associated Press.
