The role she played in Siobhan Ryan, a daytime soap-opera titled Ryan's Hope in 1982-1986 was what attracted the attention of the public. McCain began writing a daily column in the Daily Mail after leaving The View. McCain also published four other books including America You Sexy Bitch, A Love Letter To Freedom and Bad Republican.
